A marking technique that involves transferring a selected pattern from a matrix to a product using high pressure and high temperature. Stamping is usually performed on all types of leather or leather-like materials, as well as cardboard and plastics. Stamping can be done dry - by simply imprinting the matrix itself in the material, or using a so-called "color stamping" foil - most often in gold or silver. The matrix is made at the prepress price.
Advantages of embossing:
- Durability - extraordinary durability of logos thanks to thermal and mechanical deformation of the product surface during marking
- Aesthetics - a traditional method associated with high quality and careful workmanship
