Hyacinth (Hyacinthus) is a genus of plants from the asparagus family. Hyacinths can be grown in garden beds, in containers on balconies and terraces, as well as forced in a pot at home.

The bell-shaped flowers of hyacinths are gathered in clusters. They give off a characteristic intoxicating scent. In our climate, hyacinths grown in the ground bloom from April to May, but in warmer areas where they come from, hyacinth blooming begins in February. Hyacinths in the garden bloom from April to May.
